Just in time for the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day) on May 8th:

Retired Army Colonel John Dwyer will present a 90-minute program highlighting the role that U.S. Army Medics played in the Battle for France in 1944. He wears the uniform and equipment carried by Army medics who treated the wounded and sick in combat. He tells stories about a medic's life, pay, food, training, and clothing. He shows what they carried and explains gear and belongings in detail, passing items around the audience so people can see and feel the actual equipment used by medical personnel. He explains about the “Geneva Cross’ they wore, and the reason they carried no weapons. Questions are welcome throughout the presentation.

No registration required.
